Maggie's Tea Room is named
in honor of the late best friend of
co-owner Jackie Sayles (below).
The two met on the London stage
aat the auditions for Hello Dolly
 with Mary Martin in 1965 and
ended up sharing a flat together.
 When Jackie and her partner
Teresa Rogers opened the tea
room in  Nov. 2005, Jackie named
 it after her very dear friend Maggie,
 who died of Lou Gerhigs disease
three months later.
